Mica-Reinforced and H.O.P. Cone Materials

The 8" mica-reinforced cellular woofer and 8" enhanced H.O.P. (Highly Oriented Polyolefin) mid-woofer deliver the full range of crisp, clear lows for room-shaking bass that's never muddy. A 3-1/4" enhanced H.O.P. mid-range cone offers punchy mids with no loss of clarity. Mica reinforcement of the woofer cone material represents a favorable mix of strength and low weight. Traditional driver materials must increase mass to provide greater amounts of rigidity. However, these traditional materials tend to be slow and inaccurate. Mica reinforcement combined with H.O.P. equals extremely high strength and low mass. This allows for high power handling and ideal response.

Nano-Fine Balanced Dome Tweeter

1" Nano-Fine balanced dome tweeters provide startling resolution for the vocal range, bringing you closer to the original artists' recording. Sony speakers are engineered to extract all of the detail that new high-resolution audio formats can provide.
